who are we?
Castro Resources for Academic Achievement (CRAA) is a educational service provider that gives children educational and intellectual skills. We teach children how to think. CRAA gives children the skills to access their ability to learn. We offer one on one and online tutoring services that will improve the learning abilities of children. Our Teach Boxes contains educational workbooks, flashcards, and fun activities to assist parents and children to enjoy the learning process outside of the classroom. Each box will provide children with a surprise learning experience.
CRAA focuses on children from Pre-Kindergarten to 3rd grade in subjects of reading, math, and handwriting.
meet anina castro
CEO/ Founder of Castro Resources
for Academic Achievement.
Ms. Castro is a Philadelphia native that developed a love for educating children at the age of 12.
While in college Anina always dreamed of being an educator, but never thought it would lead to her running her own business.
Anina was inspired once she realized that the children she was working with needed additional tutelage beyond the classroom experience. She thought that if she could give some additional one-on-one time with a child, they would get a better understanding of sounding out words, and counting numbers just to name a few. Once Anina started to provide small learning environments for her students, she realized her preschool students were skipping kindergarten and going straight through to first grade; she knew she was onto something. It has officially been six years later and Castro Resources for Academic Achievement is still growing.
Anina’s teaching philosophy is grounded in the idea that students’ minds are not empty vessels waiting to be filled. Each one of them brings their own particular brand of genius to any learning environment they’re placed in and her most important job is to discover and empower that genius.
